Paper continues to play a significant role in almost every aspect of our daily lives, and in any printing job the kind, weight, and texture of the substrate is an important factor in the price, quality and finish of the final product.

Paper is manufactured in a number of finishes, weights and colours to suit a broad range of uses. Therefore the starting point for choosing a paper stock should be the consideration of that stocks ability to satisfy the aesthetic, technical and production requirements of a specific project in the final printed result you are trying to achieve.

Paper and the Environment - As part of our environmental initiatives in the area of paper, key areas we have focused on in the sourcing of our paper stocks include:

• Commitment to the sourcing of papers with the highest environmental credentials and an ongoing program of educating customers and staff, on the best strategies relating to paper use and caring for the environment
• Providing environmental credentials for any product our customers request, and assist in obtaining the most environmentally responsible outcome consistent with their requirements
• Our "in House" stock offer will be:
• From pulp which is either Totally Chlorine Free or Elemental Chlorine Free
• Manufactured from pulp sourced from certified, sustainable Well Managed Forests (WMF)
• From paper mills which have accredited Environmental Qualifications
• As an example of our ongoing commitment to the Environment, in 2004 over 94% of our stock used was from paper Mills that were certified with EMAS, ISO 140001, or Mill-specific Environmental Accreditation.

Additionally, over 94% of the pulp used in producing this was Elemental or Totally Chlorine free, from WMF (certified sustainable Well Managed Forests).
